Got frizz? Get a steamer!
In this edition of BILL'S LAB, our resident mad scientist is using a modified hand steamer to defrizz the synthetic grey hairs in his human hair replacement system.
It's a reality. Synthetic hair can get frizzy and start looking rough from time-to-time. This happens from either friction or heat. So if you sleep with your system on and have any synthetic grey hair (and most grey is synthetic), you know all about frizz.
Why are most grey hairs synthetic?
Well, the short answer is watch the video :-) but the longer version is because human grey hairs tend to turn yellow over time. When that happens there isn't any easy way to restore the grey without affecting the color in the rest of the hair.
So we've found it better to use a type of hair (synthetic) that will hold it's color much longer.
Plus, mixing in synthetic grey with human hair gives a more natural and age appropriate look (for most men & women 35+). It also allows you to color the unit whenever needed without changing the grey areas.
