Great information. I couldn't make out what is the solution that you added the baking soda to before adding the water? I would like to try this the next time I wash my unit.

Hi Cyn! There is actually only water in the container before she added the baking soda. She has warm water in the basin, adds baking soda, and then tops it off with more hot water :)
