This video shoot was a blast. Kathryn made it fun for everyone and she gave us so much footage that we had a hard time leaving anything out. This is why her video is about 3x longer than usual. But worth every second.

Yay! No bangs. Kathryn's hair looks pretty real. I still really dislike those excessive camera movements, though. Hold still so we can see her hair, camera man.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. One of the primary reasons I decided to do a video for HD was because I wanted women, particularly African American women, to know there was another "choice" out there to deal with hair loss. Also, by the time HD approached me about doing the video I was (and still am) an EXTREMELY satisfied client....and i wanted to "share the love!" I feel very good to know an African American woman has made a choice to wear hair because of my being willing to risk "exposure" by telling my HD story. Even a member of my church found the site on her own and called me to say she made the decisiono to wear hair and patronize HD because she saw me and was made comfortable knowing the hair texture would be believable. She told me all of the years she had known me, she admired (and was slightly envious of) my hair, never dreaming for a million years it was a system. She came over my house and i showed her all of the ropes relative to wearing hair, cleaning it, and de-re's (detachement and reattachment). Seeing her so happy now makes my "exposure" well woth it! Hey Doreene! :-)

I enjoyed watching Kathryn. I know exactly how she feels. I too am a black female and every woman of any color needs her mane of hair to feel complete. I loss my hair in 1991, and now 2010 I loss my eyebrows..go figure?? I;ve been wearing a system since 2000. I order my products from HD.

This video is so "real" and so informative! I'm african American, and this is the first company that i've research so far, that has african american women with african american type hair. Usually, the arican american women look like they have on wigs because the hair type do not match their face or ethnicity ((I hope i spelled that right)) LOL!.... Im excited to give this a try. I am 29 years old and im confident to give this a try. I've suffered with Alopecia for 15 years now. Half of my teenage years and all of my adults years, i've been wearing wigs, weave, and lace fronts. They are so uncomfortable and as a young lady trying to date and be sexy, that was clearly not the deal. LOL! Im pregnant now and this is something i want to try and pray this will be the answer to all my problems..... Watching kathryn convinced me.... Im ready!!

I know Kathryn, I was so surprise to see how on this video. I still have all my hair, but every now and then I wonder what a wig would look on me. I want to experience wearing a wig, but really just don't know how to get started with all my hair that I still have. I'm so glad to Kathryn, she is a very nice and fun person.
