Seems like everybody's talking about white or "water-based" adhesives right now. Here's why you should be listening... |
For those that don't know, adhesives for hair systems can be split in two categories; clear (solvent-based) and white (water-based).
The clear stuff has always been considered the strongest, but lately, white adhesives have begun to take "hold" of some of our forum members. You might even say, white is the new clear.

Of course, there's good reason for this new found popularity. Even though white adhesives are water-based, they're just as waterproof as clear glue. Also, they're generally safer to use and gentler on the skin.
The best part? Water-based glues are just plain easy to use; since they go on white but dry clear you always know the right time to attach. And unlike solvent-based, white adhesives are great for perimeter and full scalp bonds.
