What is the best way to remove glue from a thin skin unit so fresh glue can be applied and not have too much glue build up?

I Think you should try to tape your skin and remove it easily through that tape will observed glue into tape and your hand will clean

    Hello Bryan,

For cleaning thin skins,  we recommend soaking the base in the ProTouch Clean Skin Base Cleaner. (http://www.hairdirect.com/store/protouch-cleanskin-base-16oz.aspx)

After soaking, hold the base under cold, running water, and then the adhesive should peel away from the base. This is a gentle way to remove the adhesive, without damaging the base by stretching or possibly tearing it. Big Smile

If you'd like, you can see step by step instructions, as well as view a tutorial here:  http://www.hairdirect.com/resources/hdskin-video/base-cleaning.aspx

We always recommend using a water-based adhesive like ProTouch Fusion Bond or Ghost Bond, as they are easier to remove. We don't recommend using tape on thin skins, as removal could risk tearing the base.

    Kind regards,

    Hannah
