If it were me, I would find an inexpensive motel for the de and re-attachment. Some motels have what is called a "day room" which can be rented much cheaper and it should have what you need. A bathroom and a small room. For the inbetween de and re-attachments just make sure you have some 91% alcohol with you and some spare tape/glue and you can do touch-ups in the family bathroom without raising eyebrows.
As far as excuses for your de and re-attachment, just say you want to do some exploring of the town by yourself or something along those lines, you want to do some shopping, etc.
Relax and have fun. If you look or appear nervous or worried, that will alert people to wonder what's going on.

Your family is in Columbia?Why not just tell them?I know a few Columbians and they are awesome people! Understanding, generous, not at all judgemental.I am sure they'd love you no matter what and maybe they rib you a bit.. but familia is familia right?
Otherwise you're gonna stress about a 3 week bond. And from what I have read, that's not something to rely on.
I am NOT basing this on anything I know or have done, I am not a system wearer (yet) so take what I say with a grain of salt. I just think you should 100% enjoy your vaca with the family.

None of us want others to have to go through the traumatic experiences we had to deal with. Seeing (or hearing about) people suffering is difficult. It's even more difficult when you realize that you may hold the knowledge that may have prevented their distress. I believe that is why so many people want to share on this board.
So, in the spirit of sharing, here are some more thoughts!
When it's time for me to change your hair, you need privacy and it's not always available at home. You can "go shopping" for an afternoon at the "mall"!
Or you can stop at a cheap motel... HEY, GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER!!!... Conveniently, take cleaning and replacement supplies. The motel room is very cheap - so, pull in and get a room for $40.00. Go in and take your time in the bathroom!!! Remove, clean, replace and leave! Your house doesn't smell like alcohol and you will have uninterrupted time to "do the deed"!!! I realize that not everyone has the ability to use the same routine, but this thought can be changed around to suit your circumstances. Maybe you could visit a friend or relative??? There are a ton of options out there. Hope it's helpful info for you.

thank you both very much for your ideas ans your understanding .....as i intend being there for a month or 2, i would prefer a longer bond than the 1 week that i have now,, any ideas as to how best achieve this ..?i ordered some ns tape , the ones with the red booklet...thanks guys ( and gals ) in advance........
its always great to be able to come here and although i dont post often , i come hereat least once every day and read all the new posts..all i know is that HD and its clients, have made a massive fifference in my life and in regaining my lost confidence
If the people you are visiting only have one bathroom, I would use the bathroom while no one is home. If that's not an option, you can set your alarm to wake up in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep and do it then. If that's not an option, you can detach and do a basic cleaning of your scalp and unit in your bedroom. Then put your supplies in a bag, put on a baseball hat, and go to the bathroom to do your full cleaning and shower. Go back to your bedroom and do the taping and reattachment there. Just make sure you have a mirror in the bedroom for the reattachment. I've done this many times and it's not a big deal. Where there's a will there's a way. This way you can still do this once a week, you won't have to make any excuses, and you won't have to be running to a hotel room.

thanks for your suggestions guys , i will be sharing a room with my partner , so getting up in the middle of the night wont be an option for me sadly .....i am looking to use tape for a longer hold , preferably for a 2 week hold......and just safegrip for the front hairline.... how do i remove the tape from the system when i come to do a de/re ? .i have never used tape before and this would be my first time ...can i use the mirror slide technique and without using any solvents or chemnicals when removing the tape........cheers guys ...............
p.s .i;m still in need of some more suggestions as to where i can go to to have ther detachment and re- in private and what excuse i could give ...
Morning. If you can get your hair off without using a solvent then yes, you can do the mirror slide without solvent on the tape. In fact I have found the tape is much less messy using the mirror slide without solvent. However, I have to use solvent to get my system off. I then put it in the freezer (I have a compact refrigerator with a small freezer in my bedroom) for an hour or so and then do the mirror slide. It sure helps on the mess.
Once you get your hair off just slide the taped side across (or down) a mirror. You will see the tape bubbling up and you can easily pull the tape off. If you use some type of Saran Wrap there isn't much cleaning to do on the mirror. I have also seen somewhere on this forum that a CD slide works too.
In my opinion, tape is much much easier to use than glue. I think once you get the hang of it you'll love it.
