Briguy, wow! Your hair looks fantastic and gorgeous! I just ordered my kit. I am really apprehensive about this whole thing. However, seeing your posts as well as all of the other wonderful people here that willingly share their experiences to help others has assisted me in taking the first step w/HD.
After years of battling hair loss - transplants, hair covering junk, etc., I am at the point where I have to explore other options - plus I want nice, long flowing hair . HD seems to be the best after all my searching over the internet. Angie's post showing HD's BBB rating of A+ really boosted my confidence in this company.
I am really at a loss to know what system to get. A lot of the ladies here say that they shave their heads, but the one blonde lady with the long hair on the main testimonial page doesn't have a shaved head?? I want long layered hair with bangs. Any advice?

How are you? Thank you so much for your kind words. That is fantastic that you decided to take the step to order from HD. I will be honest with you, I was real nervous dealing with an online company, and worrying not only about the product I would be receiving, but doing this myself. For the past seven years I have been going to clubs and paying an arm and leg, and for that matter not even getting the highest quality product. I never had to worry about doing it myself, but you end up dishing out large sums of money just for them to change the adhesive LOL....It's crazy. I did look into having transplants, but have heard some horror stories and plus I would never get the look I wanted with just transplants.
Finally started doing some research and several times that I searched on the internet, HD kept coming up, so I did some more research on HD and kept getting positive feedback. So I decided to order a kit and at that point bought some product and started practicing changing my own unit. It was a little tricky in the beginning, but soon got used to it, and being on this forum helps me get better and better at it. If your having an issue with something, no matter what it is, just post your problem, and 98% time you'll find your answer from someone.
As far as what system you should get, really talk to your tech and let them know what style your looking to go with...they will recommend a system based on what your looking for as far as durability and other specs. As far as shaving your head, that is something your tech can help you with. For me I just shave the top starting into the back. Im actually not totally bald, but just reseading and thinning on the top. Its all personal preferance as to what you want to shave, and also what your tech suggests. No matter what style you choose Im sure your gonna look fantastic.
I just received my hair from HD a few days ago and WOW Lovin it....... And Ill tell ya the style I chose, they cut it down perfectly.. amazing.
I feel like Im HD's new cheerleeder hahahaha. But truly one of the best things I have down for my hairloss is going with HD. Wish I knew a long time ago.

I am much better now since I've read your post! Gives me more confidence...Interestingly enough, guess what I got today??? My kit arrived and wow does it have a lot of stuff in it!!!
I don't think I'd ever figure it out myself - AAHHH!! Luckily, I have a wonderful, wonderful stylist who is very sensitive to women's hair loss. She will be excited to help me figure this out with the help of a HD tech, I'm sure.

I can't tell you how much $$$ I've spent over the years for my hair - probably another house I could have had LOL really...
I just want to say to all the women out there (and men ), once you finally make the decision, it is a freeing experience. Don't get me wrong, I am still very scared...that it won't look right, people will notice, etc. However, I am so tired of worrying and being stressed about my hair, I can't enjoy life to the fullest.
But, I am at the point that I feel like "What do you have to lose?". Options are excellent...... I have options now. Unlike the other wonderful people here that had to endure this problem years before I ever had to.
Tired of feeling sorry for myself and ready for empowerment. Any helpful suggestions are welcome...
