Hair replacement systems custom-made anddelivered to your door. 100% guaranteed!
Hi everyone,
I am almost out of the Nearly natural products and would like to order the Blue Max Shampoo and Conditioner in the big size. Was wandering if I should continue with the Nearly Natural Softening Solution as well. Can I use the Blue Max with the Nealry natural? I will still use the HD leave in conditioner.
Thanks!
Gwen
Hi Gwen,
I know there is a lot of confusion out there as to what certain products are supposed to do for your hair and how they are to be used most effectively.
The short answer to your question is yes, you can safely use the Blue Max Protective Sealer in conjunction with any other product that you might normally use.
The Sealer is unique in that it is one of the only products of its kind that is formulated for processed hair to seal the hair shaft to lock in precious moisture that would normally evaporate in a short period of time.
Processed hair is porous. It has had most of the cuticle layer removed by the factory to minimize tangling. Before this layer was stripped from the hair it served as a protective barrier. Without this protective barrier you can condition the hair, but it is a constant battle to maintain proper moisture levels. The Blue Max Protective Sealer acts as a barrier, much as the natural cuticle would to help maintain moisture, keeping the hair softer, stronger, and less prone to tangling.
Although the Blue Max Protective Sealer was not specifically formulated to instantly revitalize hair (it is designed to be used regularly as a preventative maintenance measure), the instant softness people experience when using the product is the result of the infusion natural oils and a protective layer of silicone, which not only coats the surface of the hair, but also imparts conditioning qualities of its own. It also smooths the surface of the hair making it silky and tangle free.
Since it is still a relatively new product I am doing my best to educate everyone on the purpose and benefits of the Protective Sealer. I appreciate these questions since they allow me to understand how I can further develop my marketing and educational tools to help people get the maximum benefit from all of my products.
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions regarding the RemySoft line!

JRob,
For example, i just finished my Blue Max shampoo, rinsed, and sprayed generously, the Nearly Natural and combined the Blue Max conditioner and waited for about 10-15 minutes, my preference of time.
Then i rinsed and applied my Blue Max Protective Sealer and use my styling grease pomade to design my particular hairstyle with my "part".
I can understand very clearly the concept of the sealer and i'm thankful for your explanations on this forum. I will keep posting my own positive results as i continue the "maintenance" routine of using this particular 3-system product.
i also understand that too many hair products can be confusing and counterproductive for me, since i would not know which one works or not, if i combined them together.
Thus, the education, communicating my own experiences with others on the board, and receiving feedback.
Thanks again, JRob

NearlyNatural was created to be used with all products (shampoo/conditioners) and agree with JRob that there are no issues using these in combination . The goal of all hair replacement product suppliers is to enhance the lives of those wearing hair and at times many find specific combinations that work best for them . We are glad to see JRob further enhancing /improving lives which are the same goals both NearlyNatural and HairDirect have making the lives of those choosing/needing hair replacement more fulfilling .
Are you sure its the only product of its kind to seal in precious moisture?Could you post whats inside
this product?

Edited to ensure accuracy.
As for the ingredients, here is a listing of each and their specific function:
Cyclomethicone- low viscosity silicone that acts as a carrier and conditioning agent. Evaporates quickly.
Dimethiconol- higher viscosity silicone that conditions hair and "seals" the hair shaft. In addition to acting as a moisture barrier, it also acts as a barrier to heat.
Octintoxate- UV protectant
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Nut Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil- natural oils that are chemically similar to human sebum, the substance that is produced by your body to naturally lubricate and protect your hair.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask!
I have found many products with those ingredients in them.Did you invent those products?
Maybe I will also go into the hair care product line.I am going to check into it tonight.
I need someone to mix the products, and a fancy bottle and a cool name.I could also ask
Hair Direct if they could sell it for me,just like all the other products.Could you give me any tips?
Thanks
Scarcastic posts notwithstanding, I'd like to throw in my 'vote of confidence' for the Blue Max protective sealer. I read this post a couple of weeks ago and immediately purchased a bottle from Hair Direct. I am a staunch Nearly Natural fan and use their protein shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner in conjunction with a hair care routine that works well for me. Adding the Blue Max protective sealer to my routine has taken my 'hair experience' to a whole new level! With my routine I experienced minimal tangles....with the addition of Blue Max, I have experienced ZERO tangles and my hair is soft and supple. I recently received a new system and after five days of wear, having incorporated Blue Max in my daily routine, my hair is as soft (if not more so) as when I took it out of the box. Keep in mind, I HOT CURL my 'hair' EVERY DAY and it is still soft and tangle free.
I will admit I was initially a little put out on the price....but when all things are considered, the Blue Max protective sealer is quite economical. That is because you need use only the smallest amount of the sealer .....I've been using it daily for almost two weeks and have barely made a dent in the bottle. Also, if your system is not matting, tangling or drying out, you will get more wear out of it, potentially reducing the number of systems you need per year.
Thanks JRob for developing Blue Max and thanks Hair Direct for being so good about testing and bringing in new products that may enhance the 'hair' experience of your clients.
I want to try Blue Max based on the recommendations of Kathryn and others on the forum. The price is steep though. Do you package it in smaller trial size containers? I think I remember reading in an earlier post that it works best over time and has a cumulative effect. That may explain the 8 oz bottle I saw in the HD Store. I am reluctant to lay down that much on a product I haven't tried though. I have already purchased more products than I need. Having experimented with different things I have pretty much settled on what works for me.

blue max conditioner contains panthenol (vita b5) which is recommended for shampoo but not conditioner according to HD's own advice on site.
$1596.80= cost per gallon of blue max sealer
i don't understand how HD can sell so many products that are really not good for hairpieces and i have been buying from HD for quite a while. not anymore as far as shampoo/conditioners are concerned
As you all know Ive been wearing hair for three years with no satisfaction (not hd systems) and recently i started shampooing and then squirting bout 9 times on my system the nearly natural product and then applying the conditioner then rinsing after a fw minutes.
I didnt notice anything different. But i guess it might be as my system is very old. its nearly 8 mnths old lol
Rio
Hi Kathryn-
I tried the Blue Max but it just made my hair feel really dirty and I had to wash it out every day so I don't use it anymore. Normally I only wash my hair twice a week and I condition daily. This works for me and keeps my hair really soft, so I don't feel like I really need another hair softener I guess. I'm wondering if you noticed this product buildup or if you are using it differently than is recommended? My current unit is a C/D curl and I didn't notice any difference in tangling or anything. I'm curious as to how you are using it exactly. Maybe I will give it another try. It's funny, I'm fine with my current routine but it's so tempting to try something that everyone speaks so highly of!
Rio, you need to use the NN a few times before you will notice a difference. It really helped repair an old unit that I wore for almost a year.
Sue
Rio,
Curly Sue is right about you probably needing to use the NN products a few times before noticing a difference, especially on an older unit.
HD customers really seem to love the Nearly Natural products so I do believe that they probably work for most people. Unfortunately, after using nearly 2 bottles of NN shampoo, conditioner, and softening solution, I didn't feel that they did anything for my hair. I have since found other products that work much better for me.
The NN products are definitely worth giving more of a try on your older unit. I wanted to add my comments here though because I don't believe that the NN products work for everyone the way they seem to work for the majority of customers. When they didn't soften my hair or work the way that others said they would then I felt like I was doing something wrong. I wasn't doing anything wrong though. They just weren't for me and that's okay.
Angie
