Hair replacement systems custom-made anddelivered to your door. 100% guaranteed!
I have to admit that I am a bit concerned about the "fit" of the system on the front & crown area. My main problem with wigs has been the way the hair sits / is styled in the front. That's the area that looks so fake. Does the hair in a replacement system differ from wigs because of how it is constructed in that area?

OH YES!!!

These are pics of my hairline with no natural hair. If you check the other november posts, you will see hairline pics for about a week of wear. This is with NY lace base...not even the hollywood lace. Pretty darn good don't you think?
Don't worry about it comparing to wigs, there is no comparison!!!

Not born with hair, but I've gotthe intelligence to find it, the money to pay for it, the patience to "stick" it on just right, the will to make it work, the confidence to wear it boldlyand the smile to wear under it!
Hi sleeplesshouse,
I can empathize with you so much about "wishing that the hair that i have on top and in the crown are just fall out", too!
I also have this awful fear of knowing that i will have to cut the little bit of hair that i still have on the top (i will have to use a razorless depilatory. You put it on where you want the hair to be removed and wait about 10-15 minutes and wash it off with a cloth and soap and water. It is something that some men of color that are of african descent like myself have to use and it is called Magic cream shave, a razorless beard remover. But anyone can use it, quite frankly. A razor will break me out on my face and definitely my scalp, so i have to use something less abrasive and that was "trial and error" over the years.
the site for the cream for your information: http://store.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/macrsh.html
Also, in my case, i have been using Propecia pills for almost 9 years and sometime called toppik.com products and concealers to maintain my "illusion" as i call it!.
As a person that doesn't have straight hair, (mine is close-cropped curly and wavy) I look similar to Barack for instance. But my point is that on may 15 2009, i will be going back to HD for my first ever fitting of my first system that i ordered in person on march 24.
On another note, I also have to perform my curernt regiment to keep the look that i have now, on a daily basis, and since no one has ever seen my baldness, i rather keep it that way and this is why at 59 years old now, i need another way of performing this maintenance with less work.
Unfortunately, what i use now is NOT waterproof and since i love swimming, the beach, and water sports in general, i have a problem because i just can't jump in and come out the way i went in because the fibers that i use will just wash away.
As far as the feel, the touch, and the look of HD hair system, i was there in person on the 24th of march, because i'm only 2 hours from their headquarters (i live in the state of maryland), i was very much impressed with the "feel" of the human hair systems and was just astonished to the touch how the system felt so real that no one would ever know the different.
That is what sold me, but again, i have to wait and see if HD will fit me with my new system that has to be undetectable, which is my primary concern, since my hair will be cropped and shorter and not straight.
So we will see and i will post my results next month, of course.

No, definitely not. ... but, just to clarify...it's not the hairline that concerns me...it's the fit of it in the front...like the section that will be from the front to the crown. I'm hesitant to have bangs cut in because of my disappointment with wigs in this specific area. Do you think for a first time piece it would be "safer" to go without bangs being cut in? Can't they just be cut in afterwards? What if you have bangs cut in by HD and then it doesn't work well for you? Is this 100% guaranteed as well? THANKS! Sleeplesshouse :)
Hi there -
It sounds like you might have experienced the same type of situation that me (and others) have in that the system is "overstuffed" (to borrow a term from Curly Sue). Because there is so much density in the overall piece, the front looks like a big poof of hair, no matter how you style it. For me, it looks like a mole has burrowed under my hairline and no amount of product, heat, or brute force flattens it to look realistic.
Although I have not received my first system yet (cannot wait!), I opted to leave my longtime local stylist and try HD as I have been very impressed by what I've read and viewed. The kit I received put it over the top as I've NEVER seen anything so realistic (bases are amazing) in my 20 years of wearing.
Also keep in mind that you can talk to the hair techs here any time. They can advise you on what will be the best look for you, etc. As a matter of fact, I even had my tech vary the density in front to 90% so that it more realistically patterns what my real hair would look like. Again, don't have the system yet but I am feeling good about the whole process thus far.
My ultimate comfort is that if it doesn't work out, I lose nothing as they return your money guaranteed (w/i 30-days). However, if it DOES work out, it will be the best gift I've ever given myself. I'm banking on the latter!!
Whatever you decide to do, be good to yourself.
