Hair replacement systems custom-made anddelivered to your door. 100% guaranteed!
Hi everyone,
I am now on my 3rd day with my new hair system. I was nervous opening the box but when I finally did, WOW!. It was perfect. Color, fit, length, everything! There are so many variables and I was worried about every one of them. It's nice to be able to say that all that worrying was for naught. (Btw, don't go by my avatar picture. That is me in my heavy, hot wig that is now regulated to fill in duty. I will upload a new avatar pic soon.)
Anyway, because of my current financial situation I decided to wear my full cap system on a daily basis so that I can get the maximum durability from it. On the first day I decided to use the white tape and I quickly found out that it would not be tacky enough to securely hold my system on so that next day I used red tape which worked much better. The problem is when I removed the white tape and came very close to messing up as it was much harder to get the adhesive off then I was anticipating. I did get it all off but not before a few scares (i.e., getting adhesive in the hair). Once done I used the red tape which is much sticker. I liked the sure hold so last night I decided to wear it to bed. (Truthfully, I am dreading repeating the adhesive scenario.) So I pinned it up (14" long) and wore a shower cap to bed. It was wonderful waking up the next morning with my "real hair." But I know I am now facing even a harder job of getting the red tape off tonight.
It seems to me that taking it on and off daily routine could conceivably be just as hard on the system as wearing it a week or more, correct? Also, I am treating my system like a new-born baby. Is it durable enough to be able to take the daily adhesive removal procedure? Third, I'd love to hear from other members here who are applying their system on a daily basis.
I have thoroughly read this forum and watched the videos. But like when ordering, I am overwhelmed by all the information available and trying to sort it all out is difficult.
My system is a HD01 Top Perimeter Full Cap standard.
Thanks!Dora
P.S. Thank you Camile for your all your help in litterally changing my outlook on life. I am no longer embarrased in public. Also thanks to Janet_Lynn for directing me to this company!
"Once I read a story about a butterfly in the subway, and today, I saw one. It got on at 42nd, and off at 59th, where, I assume it was going to Bloomingdales to buy a hat that will turn out to be a mistake - as almost all hats are.” -From You Got Mail
Dora,
That's great that your system is perfect! Did you use any solvent when removing the tape? This would help the tape release and would be easier for you to remove. I'm sure Camille will appreciate the nice comments! Have a great day!

Hi Krystal,
Yes, both Lace release and Adhesive Remover. It wasn't a disaster but it seem to involve a lot of handling of the hair. Am I better off (from a durabilty standpoint) to wearing it a week or more instead of cleaning the adhesive every day?
Dora
Hi Dora,
For some people it works better for them to clean the system daily and vice versa. Some people do have trouble with cleaning when using longer hold adhesives and tapes because they can break down and seep into the system. This takes a little bit longer to clean, but most people have a routine that they use and the more they do it, the faster they get at removing and re-attaching.
I can't wait to see a picture of you in your new system! I wish there were more of women willing to post their pictures. I have a question....about to be placing my first order as well. Is the base that you ordered comfortable? I am torn between a more durable one and a more comfortable/best appearance one. My thoughts are that if my unit is going to have bangs.....I might not need the best in terms of front hairline...but, I do want the option to wear a headband, which would reveal my hairline...so, I am torn. How is yours on comfort in your opinion?

Glad that the red tape cleaned up easier than the clear tape. It's completely understandable to go into panic mode, especially when it's the first time working with a new tape and a new system! Hope to see pictures of your new hair very soon! Have agreat day!
