I was battling with hair loose for 5 years, the fact is I am loosing the fight. Minixiodil, Finestrade, etc tried everything, did not work. Signed up with Hair Club for Men, without them ever showing me their material they brought me a product so thick on its base I couldn't allow that to be glued on my scalp. I Lost everything, to this day I am even battling to get my 50% in which to this day I got ZERO back. I still pay to the financing company a monthly payment for something I never got. So, HD put some smile to my face even when never tried any of your products, it just excited me from reading all this. Doing all the work for yourself, and no maintenance fees. My story is long.. but here are my questions... How long will a single hair piece last, and what is the best things to do in order to make the hair system's lifespan longer? Which hair system has the thinnest base of all? Does HD accept monthly payment options, instead of paying everything in front in one time? Can a hair system be made for East African types of hair, not Afro or African-American? Thank you all. Confused

    Hello there Ahmed,

Your story sounds so much like mine, I tried Rogaine for at least a year and in that pensive year saw zero results, (actually, I take that back, Rogaine turned all my pillow cases from nice white to yellow).  I also was at an expensive local hair establishment for a couple years getting, mostly crappy non-realistic systems that they had me wearing way too long (and well, for those prices, I guess I had to ...)

I can answer the first part of your question.  If you are going with a base style like mine, the HD24 (the least detectable), you'll get about 2 or 3 months out of each system.  This type of system uses fully bleached knots (for the best look), so a lot of the longevity is related to this unit's finer lace coupled with the bleached knots (bleaching weakens the lace slightly and also the hair knot).   Now, this is a statistical average, some people get more or less, but it is a good starting point for you to figure on.

I personally recommend using the Nearly Natural line of products to maintain your hair system, will maximize the healthy look of the hair for the life of the system, and give you a great styled look with their styling products to boot (these products are designed for hair systems).  I can't say enough about Moisture Mist, it has made my hair look way, way cool after it is styled (holds moisture, remains very flexible, bouncy and soft).  <Moisture Mist, you spray in while you hair is still a little damp, and then finish up with any additional styling routine.>

Hopefully someone can chime in with the last part of your question.  Take care, /Brian
