Hi. Let me introduce myself. My name is Hannah and I live in Southeast Georgia. I am 31 and started suddenly experiencing hair loss about 5 years ago. I had 2 open heart surgeries and I had noticed this a couple months before my 3rd heart surgery. I went to 3 dermatologists and an endocrinologist at Mayo. They called it tellogen effluvium. They said it would probably stop after a few months and come back but it hasn't. It still continues to comeout and is getting thinner day by day. It was dark, superthick, and wavy before. Now it's getting lighter, thinner, and straight. I have had to cut it shorter and shorter so it doesn't look so thin and stringy.. It has thinned all over but I really notice it on the sides and my front hairline has receded off my forehead and temples. That is why I thought maybe an integration piece might work. I don't really know about wigs, hair units. This will be my first time wearing one. I don't want to shave my hair anywhere and was wondering if the unit can be somehow tied for a semi-perm attachment. Also, I am thinking I may need help with this so is there any salons that will do the services around south Georgia or North Florida? I have called several places and they want you to buy their units instead. Thanks. Look forward to meeting others in this community.

Hey Hanna-
Hopefully I can help you out a little. Most of our systems are either glued or taped to your scalp. We also have systems that you can pull your own hair through called integration systems. These can be a little on the tricky side to use. There are some places I'm sure that you can go to, but to be honest with you, I'm really not sure where they would be. I know that if you ask any of the other ladies on here they might be able to give you some ideas as well. If you need anything further, please let us know.
