  • NEW HD CLIENT, SO FAR, DISSAPOINTMENT!!!

    Have been wearing hair for 10 years thru JA Alternatives. Did the maintenence myself, cleaning taping ( even trimming), only went 4 times a year  for new install.  like every one else i was tired of the bs(inconsistency of quality,price, commute) so i switched to HD.  My first piece appeared great, nice grey qty and realistic med light density. My wife ( a stylist) cut it in. I was so happy i jumped on the two every two month plan hoping to look my best at all times. after 6 weeks my two new systems arrived .  Just in time as this system hair line was practically reduced to mangled shreds and by the grace of god was held together by threads and tape on my head.  Usually my previos systems lasted 3 mos give or take.  Perhap it was all the same base, not this ny lace front deal.  Needless my next 2 systems came and they werent any thing like the first.  Thick black with a shredded scalloped front.  I looked like Shemp.  I spoke to my tech who was very apologetic and she ordered two new systems right away. I sent one back and am wearig the other one which needed major surgery and thinning.  Its been only 2 weeks and the frony hair line is shredded and destroyed like wet tissue paper with holes in it from routine combing. I hope to get a more durable base that is one layer throughout like my originals.  cant come any sooner, however if these replacements arent better i may have to go back to my big bucks club with my tail between my legs.    Any advice would be helpful.  thanks for letting me vent

    Hey Sinatra,

    I'm sure that HD will do everything in their power to correct the issue with your two latest systems.  Worst case scenario, you will get your money refunded and can use another company; however, I bet they get things worked out for you.

    I understand the frustration.  Getting a hairpiece isn't like ordering a shirt online.  There are so many details that go into construction that even the slightest deviation from plan can lead to dramatically different results than expected.  Moreover, it's such a personal experience.  If you don't like my shirt, blame Ralph Lauren, but if you don't like my hair . . . you get the picture.

    I think it can take time to work with your hair tech to get the units to meet or exceed your expectations.  Additionally, like any business, sometimes mistakes are made.  What's impressed me with HD is that they allow you and everyone else to post their concerns and comments on this board.  Talk about confidence in their product and people!  You have to admit that they leave themselves professionally (and personally) vulnerable by opening up this forum  to  customer and competitor alike.  It's their professional candor has won my business.

     
    Anyway, I would give them a chance to fix the issues as with the money back guarantee you don't have much to lose. I hope everything works out for you.

    Hi Sinatra,

    How are you? I think that because we changed the lace in the front for your remake units to a stronger lace, this will help with the fraying in the front. I did ask the factory to pay close attention to this reamke order that i placed for you as well. I will go ahead and e-mail the factory as well to see if i can get an estimated date for you. I will have customer service e-mail you regarding that date.

    Bill (HD President) also wanted me to let you know that he wants to see your unit that you sent abck to me, so that he can personally determine, what and where this went wrong. I do understand how frustrating this is right nowConfused, and we are very sorry you have to go though this right now, but I promise you that I am doing my best to make sure that when you recieve these next units, you are as happy with them as you were of your very first unit. If you need anyting at all, I and we here at HD are always here to help in anyway that I can, so please dont hesitate to contact me or any of the other techs, if I'm not avaliable anytime. Smile
