Re: Embarrassing moments in a system

  • Re: Embarrassing moments in a system

This is pretty good, i have had 3 embarrasing moments that I want to forget about but always laugh when i think about it. The first 2 times was with my old hairclubs hair. The first time was when i was swimming and descided to do a dive from the spring board. Well it wasnt a dive but a bomb. Bomb No1 awesome, then 2 and 3 just as good. Then disaster struck, the front of my piece flipped up like a convertable roof of a car. The entire tape gave way and just lifted. It was a good thing when i was under the water that i felt it,stayed under there a lil while and made sure it was down when i got up out of the water. Im sure that would have been embarrasing if it was flipped back. But the excuse I had to make to my friend who i was swimming with was so lame. I raced to the studio who dried my hair and put some new tape on and glue so it would hold down. That was situation 1

Number 2 is my nightmare. Its when i was sick of the expensive visits to the studio to have the hair re-taped down, at over $100 a visit it was alot of money and it was when i was starting to regret this expensive thing on my head. I think i didnt go back for atleast 9months. How well do you think that cloth tape lasts, its like a heavy duty version of the blue tape. My entire unit was held down by sticky gooey what was left of the tape. Very bad. Well one day in the lunch room having out 9.30am coffee my work supervisor come behind me and give me a clip around the ear, but rather than on the ear he clipped the back of my hair and it nearly went to the other side of the room, it basically flipped over my face, and in one swift motion of my hand i flipped it back in place and went red like a beetroot with embarrasement and the room basically went very very quiet and so did I. I thought in my mind F$%# this is bad.

The 3rd time was when i went on vacation in the Philippines, now i cant remember alot but im pretty certain that i had blue tape on redtape or maybe just blue tape. This was notorious for breaking down and i did notice in the heat and sweat of the philippine climate of stickyness that i could feel it just wasnt bonded down as well as i wanted it to be, but good enough that in a wind it was still ok. Little did i realise that if u pull hard enough it would have pulled right off. I was in the beautiful region of Boracay staying at the Regency Hotel, one of the nicest hotels and resorts i have ever been too ,maybe because it was the only resort i have been to LOL, and the location so beautiful with its crystal clear blue waters. Myself and my girlfriend back where who is pinay descided to go swimming and all well so far, until i descide to swim between her legs, she grabbed my by the top of the hair and reefed me up out of the water and i could feel it starting to give way, but i was lucky that i jumped when she grabbed and launched myself out of the water at the same time.  I had all these visions of this hair just floating off in the distance and me left in one HUGE embarrasing moment.I dived under the water a few times to make sure it was on still and on ok, and back in the room made sure it was ok, checked the tape, retaped and glued it all down good and secure.

But one thing out of the 2nd situation i discovered that people like to make fun and when u get upset about it they dig at u harder. I learned to laugh with them and when they seen it didnt annoy me they basically gave up. But the good part was when i got my HD hair, a few of the guys who knew i wore hear made some pretty good comments about the cut and style, saying hey pete great hair do , suits u well and other good positive comments. And when someone tried to have a dig id laugh with them and make a silly comment liek , I know everyone might wear a hat but i know my hair keeps my head warm enough.
