Are there any women out there that use a system for the top 6 or 7  inches of their head, not the whole head?  If so, what type of base do you use and how long is your hair?

    Hi Horse Lover,

I am a Hair Tech here at HD Inc. so I can at the very least tell you some of the base designs that some of my women clients wear.

Almost all of my women clients wear systems that have lace bases. However, I would say that at least 3/4 of them have a thin skin perimeter to help with the bonding around the sides and back of the system.

Any of the bases that we offer would be fine for a woman to use. They can all also be customized to your specific needs and wants.

I hope that this helps a little bit. Give us a call if we can help you any further. Good luckYes [Y]

Hi horselover, I am a woman who uses a hair piece for just 6-8 inches of the top of my head. I have used a lace front and a full silicone scalp. Both have their advantages, but because I am so active and financially I need a unit to last as long as I can.

I enjoyed the lace front because it did truly give a natural look to my hair style. I was able to have a cutsy cut on my bangs. But, I am able to have a longer bang and wispy cut/style with the full silicone scalp.

I also have learned how to apply and care for my own units. I use a regular hair stylist in town to keep my hair blended with my unit.

My hair length is just below my ears. I am currently in the process of deciding to order a length that will reach my shoulders.

Hi there horse lover.  I am a horse lover too so we have at least two things in common.  I am unsure as to what type of base I use.  I am a customer of Hair Club for Men and Women only until September. That's when my contract is up and I'm going with Hair Direct.  I was so excited to find the Hair Direct website.  My hair is about 12 inches long that I get from the hair club and I will do the same when I place my first order with Hair Direct.  I'm going to place my order with Hair Direct in July to make sure it is ready in late September. You have to pay more (understandably) for long hair but to me it's worth it.  I would suggest you take the time to read carefully through the Hair Direct website especially the learning center area.  It explains about the various types of bases, how to put on the system, etc. though I am still not sure what type of base mine is from the hair club.  I just know it's not a full cap system.   I am very nervous about doing this myself but believe that I can and you can too.

    Hi Blondie,
I was wondering if you have ordered your starter kit yet?  I'm still trying to figure out how to do a mold/measure of my scalp, as I am a member of  Hair Club also.  So, I probably need to get one ordered soon, as my membership expires in July, and I haven't told them yet!  I beleive I have to give them a two week written notice.

Hi horse lover.  No, I haven't ordered my starter kit because I was able to get Hair Club to give me my last old hair system.  I got lucky because there is such a high employee turnover rate at the Hair Club that I go to that the last time I went all that was there were two hair technicians and a new trainee receptionist.  I asked the hair technician for my old hair system and she said no problem.  I did have to sign something saying Hair Club wasn't responsible for anything that happened with the hair system but I got it.  I was surprised because I remember when I signed my contract with them it specifically said that I could not get the old hair systems.  I suggest you whisper a little prayer before your next appointment and see if you can do the same thing.  If your membership is off in July you should order soon from Hair Direct.  Good luck.
