lighten up Francis, er, I mean Gav...let's face it, children run from us, old people laugh at us and women don't wanna' mate with us, cause were bald headed freaks ! freaks I tell ya ! Seriously though, I wouldn't make to much of it especially around my employees...if you jus play it off, tell em' that's jus the way you roll !!! LOL...most people that know you are going to notice something is different about you but if you don't make too much of a big deal of it people will just forget about it and not even mention it...even if they know something is different. I get more compliments on my hair from friends and coworkers than anyone. most of them think I spend thousands on my hair and it just blows them away. I wouldn't worry about it and since it's out in the open now, I would continue to send my products to my company...you are the boss aren't you ? when it bothered me in the beginning, I went out last year and laid down 56K for a screamin BMW 535i and it made me feel a lot better...kinda like when we climbed the rope in gym class !

I feel for you.... As a former UPS guy in Canada I know about Canada Customs. Anybody in the delivery chain can look at the commercial invoice. I once delivered a Playboy "Massage " video and oil to a prominent citizen in my city!! I do agree with some of the post's that it didn't have to include "hair" in the invoice. I think my fitting kit said just that - fitting kit. I ordered a guitar amplifier from Britian 15 yrs ago. On the commercial invoice I had them put "Audio Frequency Amplifier (paid no duty) instead of Guitar Amplifier (would have been 15%duty). Just words are all it is..
The only embarassing situations I have had is trying to convince someone that I wear a hair system. Most everyone is stunned and won't believe me!
I have been a HD customer for over 6 years now. PLEASE do not let this situation deter you from dealing with them. They have done more for the "Toupee " than anyone since Max Factor. Their product, price and information they provide is unbelievable!!!!! I do all my own cleaning and haircuts - having tips from Michigan Baldy and Brian D is great. Do you get that from the Club? I never did.
Anyway--- I have always had my units shipped in the States to a hotel were I am travelling. Or have had it held for pickup at the UPS centre. That way No Customs, my neighbour won't sign for the package and find out, the UPS guy won't know - and the people I choose to tell are the only ones to know..

I am SO sorry this happened! But lets face it, things like this are bound to happen. You think all your employees wouldn't have noticed the change? Think again. If I were you, I'd handle it so they are cheering you on. Ask two or three - or all the women to help you measure for your hair. Let them help pick out the color, (Of course you get the last vote.). In other words, bring them ALL along for the ride. When you get it, ask: "What do you think?" Stuff like that. If you're like the rest of us there will be a certain number of people who will know what you've done even if you never tell them.
The first time I wore a wig a friend told me about her mother who wore wigs. She said, yes, right now they all KNOW, but they forget - this is TRUE, TRUE, TRUE!!! Don't you want to look great when you go places other than work? As I said, bring your employees along for the ride or at least tell them you're thinking about it. What do they think. Don't give up on HD yet.
