Hi Lisa-
I emailed these comments to Christie:
I used the factory conditioner for once or twice a day for 2.5 weeks, until the bottle was empty. I used it for 1.5 weeks on a unit that was 2 months old but just had some new hair added to it and also 1 week on a brand new unit. I don't have anything bad to say about it but I don't have profound feedback either. I usually use Moisture Mist and found the sample product to be comparable to that, because I didn't notice a difference in the way my hair behaved. My hair stayed soft. I didn't really notice a big difference in comparing before or after use to be honest, but like I said, I didn't see anything wrong with it per se. It does not build up which is nice. It definitely does not combat frizz though, just for the record.

Thank you for the reminder. I have emailed Christie and answered the questions in the letter which was included with the factory soft conditioner sample. I have added a few details below. Please remember that my experience may not be the same as someone else.
I decided to try the factory soft conditioner leave in on a 3 month old unit in pretty bad shape. It was dry, coarse, and I was getting ready to throw it out. The factory soft conditioner probably would have worked differently with a newer unit.
The conditioner softens hair but does not help with frizz or manageability. I found it best to use the factory soft conditioner in combination with other conditioners. It most definitely softened the hair though. This lasted only when the conditioner was in the hair. Once removed, then the hair was no longer soft. I would purchase this only if I wanted a specific hair softener. Otherwise, I prefer to use Biosilk Silk Therapy leave in which I recently started using. It leaves my hair soft, controls frizz, and leaves it feeling healthy even after it has been washed out.

Hello,
Thank you for sending me the sample of the conditioner.
Its very nice stuff and it does leave the hair soft. I changed the bottle it came in, into a spray bottle so i could spray on a light mist avoiding the base/knotts.
The results are good, however i do agree that at the end of the day the effects do go away, and the hair appears dry again.
So i mixed the conditioner with my current leave in and the results were even better. Im using it as a boost to my current leave in so i get the best of both worlds.
Thanks again
Tim

Hi,
For record, i too only see a small difference and i use the HD conditioner with my own leave-in conditioner and also with my Blue Max silicone-based Protective Sealer. I also use, when i shampoo, the Nearly Natural, about once a week. I just may be using too many different products at the same time, so i may not be giving a true experimental picture of the HD conditioner.
But it was recommended from HD that i can ADD the HD trial conditioner to any of my regular styling routine, and that is what i do.
I like your idea, Tim, of pouring your HD conditioner in a "spray" type container, in order to keep the liquid from "running" down into the lace. Excellent idea!
That is exactly why i use the HD trial conditioner with something like the Blue Max Sealer, along with my leave-in, in my case, to keep the conditioner just a litte bit more stable and so liquified.

My experience is that this is an average product. What I do like is how light it is and that it is not scented, however, it has not proven any exceptional benefits such as some other Leave-Ins I've used.
I'd have to agree with some of the other posts that this is a good product that softens the hair I used it on an old dried out unit and it did soften it at first just like my spray in conditioner but it did dry out by the end of the day so I think it is good as a spray in conditioner if you don't already have one but I don't think it adds anything new like Blue Max is just amazing as a new product.
To Tim - I was just wondering if you could tell me the name of the conditioner you mixed it with as I would be interested in seeing the results.
Best Wishes
Dan
I really like the way HD enlists their customers as a "focus group" to test different products. There is no substitute for putting into the hands of the end user to figure out what works and what doesn't.
I do however, still think there is a little confusion as to what each of these products is supposed to do for you, as hairwearers. This responsibility rests mainly on the manufacturers and their ability to create an effective marketing campaign that clearly explains the uses and benefits of their products.
This has proven to be a challenge with me and the RemySoft line, in particular the Blue Max Protective Sealer, since it is essentially a brand new product category. We all know what a shampoo and conditioners do, but what do the "other" products do for the hair?
I am going to post a more comprehensive explanation of the Blue Max Protective Sealer and what it is designed to do, but since it was mentioned in this thread I'll give you a brief rundown.
I'm really happy that so many people are seeing instant benefits when using the Protective Sealer. The silicones do have conditioning properties after all, and I myself use a little extra to increase softness when I'm having a "dry hair day".
I want to stress one thing though, and that is the fact that the REAL benefits of the Protective Sealer are seen after weeks of continuous use. It is specifically formulated to maintain the condition of the hair. When you use it as a regular part of your maintenance routine, you will not only notice an immediate boost in softness, but more importantly your hair will stay soft and stronger for a longer period of time. With consistent use, you will notice less fading, less shedding, more softness, an overall better look and feel, and an increased lifespan of the hair itself.
First you wash to clean the unit, then you condition to infuse the hair with moisture, and the final step is to seal the hair shaft to allow the hair to retain that precious moisture.
As always, If anyone has any questions about the RemySoft line of products, please feel free to ask!

JRob,
Thanks for that bit of education, because that is what i'm all about. I have the need to know what and why one should use a hair product, etc.
For me, i'm using the BlueMax 3-system products on a regular basis and you are right about continous use and not expecting immediate results. Now i can't do without, especially the Protective Sealer, and the shampoo and conditioner. I see and feel the difference and that is with my original unit that i'm still wearing since i first received it on may 15, 2009, even though i have other units in my storage. But with my maintenance routine, i'm wearing my first unit going into the 3rd month.
I for one, know all too well about "immediate" results and long term maintenance. So Thanks again for a more thorough explanation to us all.
Update on my experience with testing this product - I used this product on my previous system and didn't notice any real differences compared to other leave-in conditioners I used. However, I have been using it on my current system and it has really kept the hair as good as new. The age of this unit is now approximately the age of the first system and the results are totally different. I haven't changed up my product regime so that I have an apples to apples comparison.
So for me, I would purchase this product if available as it seems different hair has different needs.
Hello
I agree with you, on an older system thats 'had its day' it didnt give any resurrection properties, however what i have found is that it maintains new hair.
I suppose in hindsight its obvious that a product 'could' maintain what is already there rather than trying to put back what is lost.
I too would buy this product and use it from the word go on a new system to keep it in good shape.
