  • Does anyone tape their system this way?

When I frist started wearing hair I would tape the sides and back with cloth tape butted together, and glue at the front. I would remove my system once a week. However, the system I'm wearing now has clips in the back and glue in front. My piont is, I don't recall having the messy clean up that some people speak about. I stopped putting the tape end to end and left about a inch between the pieces of tape and still had a strong bond. And I would swin, play hockey, baseball, and drums in a bar band with my system on without any problems. Anyway, I plan on using No Messy Residue on the back and sides and HD High Def.glue on the lace front of my first 3 systems from HD when they arrive. Once again I will try to space the tape about a inch apart. Does anyone else tape their system this way?

With the newer tapes that dont break down as fast thats all I use, i dont use glue anymore just tape. Supertape or the NS range of tapes.

In the early day when there was just the red liner tape and the blue tape i used to lay red tape all around the poly perimeter then in intervals put blue tape down. This was about an inch long and id leave an inch gap between the blue tape.

Back them i used to go for long term bonds, being 6weeks. And I knew that the red tape wouldnt last that long but the blue tape would. But with the blue tape it used to breakdown leaving a gooey mess sticky and yucky, esp on the poly perimeter and on my scalp.

So i used that trick to minimise how much gooey stuff was on my head. With the red tape being on the poly perimeter it didnt break down, and it was just a matter of peeling it off the base.

Now I go max 3 weeks with supertape or less.

If its HairDirect it looks good.
