Due to a mixup on my order, the tape area on my hairpiece is recessed 1" from the front edge of the unit. I requested that the tape area be 1/4" from the edge, but somehow it never happened. I really do not want to return the unit and have it corrected, and so I am looking for a solution to the problem.
I usually take my hairpiece off at night, and so I do not want to use liquid adhesives to tack down the lace front to keep it from bunching up. Can I use tape on the lace to keep it down? My past experience has not been good with using tape on lace. When you try to take it off, it pulls hairs out of the hairpiece. I was using the red tape which is very tacky. Maybe I should use the white tape which has less tack? I could use solvent to loosen the tape before trying to take it off, but I am afraid that continued use of solvent might damage the hairs. Any suggestions?
