Bangs

I'm new to Hair Direct and hair systems in general, just curious , why don't a lot of men with hair systems wear bangs ? i always see the short hair or the long pushed back look and neither really appeals to my personal taste

Is it  more durable to have those styles ? I've worn my hair in the in various styles covering my forehead for most of my life , mostly before i started to bald a year or so ago , and i think it frames my face nicely ( also wouldn't bangs help keep the system undetectable as the hair line would not show ?)

I"m seriously considering  a hair system and i'm contemplating ordering the custom fitting kit today .

I'm tired of spending an hour  a day styling my hair with concealers and sprays to make it look thicker.

it would be nice to have confidence in my hair again : )

      thanks :)

Actually King, bangs make it easier to conceal the edge. Everybody's style is their own preference.

Here are some ideas, but you can send them any picture and they can try to match it. http://www.hairdirect.com/photos/hairstyle-gallery/men.aspx

    King56,

Welcome! I just want to add my experience to your question. First my hair is NOT straight, but curly, wavy and close cropped. i'm part african descent and part native american and if you view my photos you will see how i styled my texture of hair covering my forehead, and using a part.

Please view my HD Photos under Donaldt.

It is so strange you mentioned about "bangs" today because even with my hair texture of being "coursed", i love having "bangs" just because i've always covered my forehead since mine is very high like my mother's.

i also put a "part" in my frontal hair, too, and between the "bangs" and the "part" my front hairline does not need an undetectable look and it also covers some of my large forehead.

i have the HD24 full lace, high definition, undetectable unit anyway, for my own preference. This unit and the disposables are the top of the line, in my opinion, when it comes to comfortability, light weight, etc, not necessarily trying to save money, but what is worth to me and that is comfort, and undetectability all around my unit.

Check out HD section on the different types of hair systems under the "hair" section on the HD site, where there is more detailed information.

As CurlySue said and i agree, the "pull back" look that you are writing about is each person's preference. I see she also included a link for you, too. That is where i started also, and i chose something similar to the HD046 look, but with my own specifications, because those styles are just a guide that HD can replicate for your person preference.

i also thought, in the beginning, that i would want to have that same flawless pull back look, and showing my hair unit roots, too, but when i had my first system fitted and i started styling, right at that moment, i created the part that i was used to in my teens and 20s, and i pulled or brushed my hair system towards the front of my forehead because i knew that my forehead was high or large, meaning more forehead than hair, again, like my mother. so i created my frontal hair line and cover some of my high forehead at the same time.

Again, this is all about each person's preference and style that one would want for their own personal style and character. I also can related to the concealers, hair fibers, i even used propecia pills for more than 13 years, etc. Also, in my case, not being able to go swimming or get all the way in the water (swimming was one of my favorite water sports), or getting caught in the rain or just standing out in the sunlight in the summer time and the fibers running down my face because of the perspiration and heat, i can empathized with you, all too well.

This went on for over 10 years plus, until i found HD, but my male pattern baldness started around my 35th year, i'm now 59! So i've had plenty of practice creating "hair illusions" for so many years, that i'm tired too.

It is nice to now have natural human hair on the top of my hair now, and not worry about the rain anymore. I even joined a local gym to go back to swimming again, but to protect my financical investment, i brought a silicone swimming cap. I can't forget that these units are just that, hair systems, thus i have to take very good care of my delicate units, and use leave-in conditioners, and other protectants.
