I've been wearing a "system" for 10 years now..I just bought a one with the skin base b/c I did not about how good the lace fronts were..I guess I was afraid of the cost of purchasing frequent systems. Anyway my question is about the lace fronts. If I understand the process correctly, is that you wear tape around the sides and back and glue in the front or glue all over? If glue all over how long does the glue last and how well does it hold...I generally wear my system for a week and take it off on the weekends..and yes I shampoo it every other day.....

hey marven - not sure about skin systems, i wear a full lacee unit (for about 2 years now) but i can tell you that i use Proflex tape to attach it. no liquid glue at all (it's just too messy and time consuming for me)
it stays tight for 3-4 weeks and looks great! in fact, i got the instructions for using pro flex off this site. here is the link http://www.hairdirect.com/resources/attachment/proflex-tape.aspx

pete - in my experience Pro Flex works better than any other type of bond (including HD bond, which i've used in the past). it is SUPER tacky and long-lasting so I have to spray Adjust-a-bond first to get the system put into place just right.
As for how it goes around the front, i try and get it as close to the edge as possible just like on the sides and back. the link i provide above is where i got instructions on how to do this (i wear the full pereimeter bond - fyi)
PS: what's the highest peak you've ever bagged?
