Hi - I have just ordered a custom unit from HD but it will be another 6 weeks before it arrives so I had to take the plunge and get a stock unit else where - they cut one down to suit my size - its a front lace with poly at back and sides.  When they cut it down they only left enough room for me to tape it with 1/2" supertape - I usually use 3/4" supertape - will the unit be secure with only 1/2" supertape?  Any suggestions and help greatly appreciated.

Sorry to be a pain but could someone please give me some advice as soon as possible as I might be able to send it back if it definitely won't stick but if I have it cut in and it doesn't stick then I can't send it back.

if your using super tape 3/4 inch, that extra 1/4 inch  will stick to the overlapping  lace,

but if you cut the tape to just cover the poly you will be fine.
