    Hey Curly Sue:

Thanks for posting.. I really think the Hd - 03 is best for you, because of the lenth, density and curl pattern comes into play..We talked about this and we will discuss more in detail.. Thanks for your posts.  What works for one may not work for another.  Wink

OK, my 2 cents worth on bleaching knots.  With the disclosure that I'm not a haircare professional, I've bleached my knots two or three times on some units (typically after coloring the hair).  I have never had the knots break off or hair pull out.  The only downside to multiple bleachings is that it sometimes colors the lace white so it's not quite as camouflaged against the scalp.  Even though, the effect is still pretty impressive.

    Hi Brian

Just some food for thought. You can get the HD-03 with out the skin perimeter. We do have some people that get it with sewing lines instead of the skin perimeter so you can't feel an edge. As I said before, this is my favorite lace unit.Yes

    Hi all,

I use an HD24 and haven't had any problem at all with shedding. I also request my knots all bleached. Maybe the difference is that I order mine with double knots and I use knot sealer by TDI each time I reattach!

I just don't like the thinskin/poly on my head - it makes a hollow sound when I scratch my head...

Babe--You are using HD24 with 120 density? I was told by HD that 90% was the highest it could accommodate. I tried it with 100 in the front and 110 on the top, 90 in the back and 80 on sides and it shed terribly in the front. I had to have hair added after wearing it for only 5 weeks or so. Maybe I'll try it again. Though really, I can't tell a huge difference between the regular Hollywood and the ultrafine Hollywood in the front. I'm wearing my HD24 now after taking off an HD03 this morning and they are really similar to me. The HD24 frays faster too. I tried two units with the poly because I needed to reduce cleanup time--I don't like the poly either. It doesn't lay flat to my head like the non-poly does.

Yep...at least that's what Lisa told me when I called this morning! I never can remember what I'm wearing so I have to call in when people ask. This time - I wrote it down! I know it's a total Hi def base, but it's a combo. I'll check with her to make sure I have it right.

I truly can't tell a difference between the bases / laces. I just know I do not like the poly or thin skin. I also don't use the ultrafine hollywood in the front because the regular hollywood looks just as good and doesn't fray as easily.

    Hi Babe

The unit you wear is an HD-03 with sewing lines instead of the poly skin, from the sound of it Personally I like this base better, also because it is the regular lace which is a little stronger but still has a great appearance and you can get it with the poly or the sewing lines and most of the time it is one piece of lace. That being said there is nothing wrong with the HD-024, it's just preference.Smile

LOL...I give up...see? This is why I never can answer the question! So...it's the HD24 without the pleats and with sewing lines instead. Which would make it an HD03. But the HD03 has microskin poly...so you take away the poly and you have...ok...I give up! UNCLE!!! LOL

Apparently my base is an HD03 without poly. I just know I love my hair and I don't need to know what I'm wearing to know how much I love it!

Don't worry, from now on I'll just claim HD03!

That's funny because I was gonna say "So, you have the HD03 without the poly then." But, I didn't want to complicate things! I have the HD03 with sewing lines and the poly and I will definitely be getting rid of the poly because I'm not a fan. Love the clean up though. It's good to know that the 120 density works with the HD03.

ummm...yeah, or the HD24 with sewing lines and no pleats...LOL

Talk about complicated...that's what I get for experimenting so many times. But...the good news is HD is always willing (and able) to accomodate my strange requests!

Hi, after using both units and being a long time wearer I would go unanimously with the HD24.  Its more realistic, thinner and will last just as long as any other unit.  The lace is just way more realistic than the 03.  I could never show my hairline with the 03.  Yes its more durable, but I'm looking for realism in the piece.  The 24 can go a long way if you take just basic care of it and the hairline dissapears like it was your own real hairline.  Really no comparison.

    Hi Goose

That's great that the HD-24 is working well for you, and you are right if you take good care of the base it works well. It really does come down to preference of which base works well for you. I am so glad we have the different bases to choose from.Yes
