Currently, I'm on day 4 and it's holding quite well.  I buzzed off my hair and glued the area on the back of my head just below the bulge. That seems to keep the wig from moving around and moving forward to make a crease in the lace just behind the glue on the front.  The persistent tackiness of the glue was bugging me, so after I bonded this time, I put a small amount of cornstarch along the glue line, then brushed it off.  Has made a big difference.
