I've not ordered from HD (ordering my kit today) but I've not had any problems with my hair from the chinese vendors since I started asking for Virgin Remy (cuticle) Hair. I say specifically Natural Color(no hair dye), Natural Straight(no processing). Now I will say "no pleats" in the lace . I'm wearing malaysian remy now and the hair is soft and bouncy. If I want it curly I just put it in a bun at night and take it out. I can also flat iron, blow dry or do a roller set. It does not mat or frizz or tangle up. I'm hoping I can get the same quality hair with HD.
Dechocly-The bleach bath is a detangling process to help smooth out severely tangled hair. It removes a layer of the cuticle which hopefully will help the hair tangle less. The process can be found in the Learn section here.
Giselle- Babe's specs are posted in her blog. Your shedding problem might be relieved by not getting conditioner on the knots. Conditioner loosens the knots and can cause shedding. However, my last unit had a shedding problem and I tried everything to alleviate it, but I think it was just that particular unit. The unit I have been wearing for the last 6 weeks does not shed abnormally.
