Can you please help me by letting me know what shampoo and conditioners have worked well for you. I am having a problem with shedding and the advise I received from this site was to be sure the conditioner does not get on the knots, which I have tried and this has helped ALOT !! I use pantene products and the advise was also given to change to a different shampoo and conditioner.
can you recommend a good conditioning shampoo and conditioner that will leave my hair easy to detangle and also soft and of course smells good.

There are a few products that I highly recommend! I will even provide the link to the area on our site so that you can look at the products as well.
One of the best if not THE best shampoo that is available for hair in a hair system is ProTouch Hydration Shampoo. This shampoo has been specially formulated to be used on hair in systems because the hair has already been processed so it is very low detergent but, still adds moisture to the hair.
The Nearly Natural shampoo is great as well. If you have any kind of reaction botanical products then you may want to stay away from this line. It is all very natural and botanical!
We have had great success with KMS SILKSHEEN LEAVE IN CONDITIONER. This product also offers protection from the harmful rays of the sun. Which is an awesome plus.
As far as a rinse out conditioner I would suggest KMS Silksheen. This would really only need to be used once a week and concentrated mostly on the ends of the hair strands.

The reccomendations that Mary gave you for products are great! I couldn't have suggested anything better. I have used the KMS Silksheen leave-in conditioner and it works wonders! If you get any of these products, or anything else, let us know how they work for you.

Another product I highly recommend if you're having issues with shedding is the TDI Knot Sealer. It works great! It helps your adhesive to stick better too.

Julie is right! I use the knot sealer after every removal. I just spray a light mist on the inside and let it dry thoroughly before moving to the next step. The TDI knot sealer makes ALL the difference in the world and the shedding is drastically reduced!

Not born with hair, but I've gotthe intelligence to find it, the job to pay for it, the patience to "stick" it on just right,the will to make it work, the confidence to wear it boldlyand the smile to wear under it!
Also for all the people who have had problems getting tape to adhere to a lace base, the TDI Knot Sealer is a sure fix. I would not recommend it for daily wear as it will be next to impossible to remove. When I say it works, I mean it!
