  • hair falling out of lace systems

I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. After a period of time no longer then 4 to 5 weeks,if i wet my system and run my hands through it i lose a lot of hair.

I just send a system back, that in less then 2 months looked very bad.(the piece was bonded and was not removed before i  sent it back)

    thanks

hi, my name is Lisa and I'm doing hair replacements for 6 years. There's many things to consider when dealing with a lace system. They are only single knotted at the base, any pulling of that hair can eventually loosen the knots. Are you using a leave in conditioner after wetting the hair? I love the lace hair systems for how natural they look. Also if your hair is in the blonde shade it is not as strong as if were brown or black. I hope I can help you with your situation.

Thanks for replying Lisa.  I have dark brown hair.  I am a user for many years so i understand what you are saying.  I was told it could be from the bleaching of the knots.  They offered to stop bleaching them but that is not the answer since other companies that i have been using in the past bleached and there was no problem. I wonder if the problem is the venting.

I am wearing a new system for about two weeks now and it is starting once again ever so slightly.  Is this only happening to me?

Jeffrey no it's not only you. I have a diffrent base but I get about two to three washings and then it's pretty much shot. Thats why I have to get two systems every three months

I have been  with JA alternative here in new york for many years. I never had this problem with them. I left them because of the cost factor.  If I do the math and every 6 weeks i need to change my system Hair direct is the same price as JA; and I have never seen a system to look as good as their's.

I was told by my old tech at JA(who no longer works there) that the problem is with the venting.

    Hi Jeffrey!

After being extremely disappointed with Tdi knot sealer for my HD03 lace unit (the hair was shedding A LOT), I decided to try Matte clear acrylic spray, found in hardware shops. The results were amazing, shedding decreased by 80-90%!!! Just a tip, because the smell is really bad, spray and let dry BEFORE washing the unit. Leave plenty of time for the spray to dry (30-60 min depending on how many coats you put), and then wash.

For the first time in my life, I'm not alone in this...
