Read this thread about soaking your hair system in Baking Soda:

    http://www.hairdirect.com/community/forums/post/3977.aspx

And purchase this additional product for use after the bath:

    http://www.hairdirect.com/store/Nearly-Natural-4oz.aspx

You use a good conditioner meant for hair systems in conjunction with the above product, so I also highly recommend this as your conditioner, also check out the shampoo:

    http://www.hairdirect.com/store/Hydrating-Soy-Shampoo-8oz.aspx

Hope that helps - You can do the  baking soda bath right away, then condition with the conditioner you have now until your Nearly Natural products arrive.  I don't think Hair Direct is going to be adding any new district offices as they are primarily an internet / mail-order company.  Surprise

    Hi MLE -

Brian's right.  The Nearly Natural products are gentle and work very well on your hair system.  Also, I'd recommend Axis New Again Revitalization Formula if you need intensive moisturizing:  http://www.hairdirect.com/store/Axis-New-Again-8oz.aspx

The instructions direct you to shampoo the moisturizer out; however, I prefer to apply a conditioner after letting the product soak in the hair for about 10 minutes and then rinsing.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
