Hair replacement systems custom-made anddelivered to your door. 100% guaranteed!
Hi all,
Just thought I would share a quick video showing how I remove SuperTape residue from my hair system, using the mirror slide. Check it out:

Also, others had asked how much "residue" I had after removing the tape. As you can see from the video, I usually only have a few small spots, making the cleanup fast with the mirror slide.
Hope this helps!

Great vid Dusty, showing how to do the infamous mirrorslide. Its a lil different to how i do it, I use the bathroom mirror which is about 3' * 2' or the side of the shower glass. I use window cleaner to clean the glass, seems to work good.
Dusty when you are removing it, what are you using to release the tape from the lace.

Hi Peakbagger,
I am using 91% alcohol in a fine-mist spray bottle. I just spray along the tape line, wait 30 seconds, and start to gently lift up on the hair. If everything goes right, the tape stays stuck to my head, while the base lifts away from the tape, with very little residue on it. Makes cleanup quick and easy... (I also wash the alcohol out of the hair ASAP, so it doesn't dry the hair.)
Thanks for the kind words. The main reason why I've done these last couple of videos is to hopefully help some of the absolute beginners here. I remember when I ordered my very first hair piece from hair direct. I had never worn hair before and was very nervous about it. I had questions running around in my head, such as how to attach, detach, maintain, etc. Can someone pull the system off? Will it look realistic, or are those "photos" Photoshopped instead. In fact, I came extremely close to returning the units when I first got them, as a feeling of panic kind of set in. Sure, I was very happy and thrilled to see the units, yet when the box came with virtually zero instructions (or how-to videos), I almost returned it right there...
A family member suggested that I at least attach it to see how it looked. I remember telling them that I wasn't sure how to do it. Finally, we searched over HD's website and found a video on there of Bill attaching one guy's hair system. We carefully followed his steps and -- WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It looked great... A definite keeper! I've been a HD customer ever since...
Yes, I know that nearly 99% of the audience here knows how to perform the infamous mirror slide. Yet, I put it on here with the hopes that some of the absolute beginners might find it helpful -- before they do a "return to sender."
Thanks dusty for that. Its always great to see what techniques everyone is using. Thats what makes this site so great. When someone has a good idea and shares it with everyone else so they can try.
Im looking at a lil project its been on my mind or ontop of my head for a while now, and seeing everyone doing all their bits and pieces is getting me pretty motivated to start my own project. One that will help alot of people also.
