so confused about tapes

  • so confused about tapes

Hello, I have been bonding on my own since last summer. I use the red liner tape on polyskin and I rebond every week. I was just ordering new tape of the HD online store and I noticed that it said that the redliner tape is the only "non-medical" grade tape and can cause allergic reactions. Can anyone tell me if the red liner tape contains harmful chemicals?? I am now super paranoid because I have been using it a year and I thought it was less toxic because it is less sticky. Also, can "non-messy" tape be used on poly?

Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jean,

The no messy tape can be used on the poly. But the no messy, some think that it has a messier breakdown and it is not 'no messy' but some like it. This all depends on the client and their personal breakdown. However, the red liner is the only 'non-medical gread' tape that we have. All medical grade means is that it is made in a sterile enviroment, it donest mean that it is any more or less harmful. If you have any questions as to the chemicals used in the adhesives that we carry, you can always call us and we can do our best to figure that out for you. Please dont ever hesitate to contact us if you need anything or have any questions.
