Dear All,
I've ordered my first system and have chosen a hair style that has more of curls. My normal hair is more of straight and i normally curl it with rollers and no heat treatment, just let it air dry..it stays for about a day or so. I thought maybe i can curl my hair to match the system i get. I was going through all the blogs on how to maintain the wave/ curl on the hair system that i will receive.
What are the steps and care that i should take to maintain the curls and to keep the hair soft as well. Can you recommend a good shampoo and conditioner. I'm not good at these. I at times see people with a wet hair look, i kind of like it as i think it looks more fresh out of shower look. How can this be done, and can it be done on curly hair systems?

Hi. HD has the best shampoo, it's a hydration shampoo, and it keeps the hair soft. Also, you need to use Nearly Natural. HD sells this as well. You shampoo and rinse your hair, then spray Nearly Natural on your system, add conditioner, wait a minute or two, and then rinse. I have had curly systems and didn't have trouble maintaining the curl so long as I conditioned and used Nearly Natural. The HD hydration shampoo is a plus!
I like the wet look too but have never found a product that keeps the wet look all day. It always dries on me after awhile and loses the wet look so if you find something that works, please post it.

Using the rollers without applying heat is also beneficial to you, because you can also treat the system's hair in the same way! So you will be able to temporarily restructure the curl pattern in the system if you would like to.
