  Re: Who takes care of your hair? 08-10-2005, 2:58 PM Hi boog - people ask us all the time about how they need to get their system cut-in, but actually we cut them in at the factory according to whatever hairstyle you want. It's actually a pretty neat service and it saves our clients a ton of money. However, if you would like to get your own system cut in and dont want us to do it, it's just a matter of finding a local barber in your area. There is another forum in our message board that lists local hair stylists and barbers that do cut-ins.   Re: Who takes care of your hair? 09-21-2005, 3:51 PM Believe me, you will get no better cut than if you let HD do it for you at their factory.  It is cut absolutely perfect when I receive it, so why should I even consider letting anyone else do it ... and paying extra on top of it.  I believe that the original question, however was in regard to your own real, growing hair.  I live in the Chicagoland area and I found a major salon that also sells and cuts in men's replacements.  I paid them a visit and talked to the stylist about cutting my hair.  He wears a replacement himself, so he knows what I am looking for.  After our conversation, he know exactly what I wanted and he has NEVER cut the replacement in any way while cutting my own hair.  My suggestion is to really interview anyone who you are considering to cut your hair to see how attentive they may be to your needs.  Be sure they have done cuts for men or women who wear replacements.  But, DON'T just try your local barber or the $6.50 special places.  They just are not trained to accomodate your needs.  I spend $20.00 plus tip once a month and it's worth it!

You hook it up  to your vacuum and attach spacers to the the cutting blade to the length you want your hair. I've been using it for a couple years now. Rick

  Re: Who takes care of your hair? 10-14-2005, 2:43 PM Do yourself a favor and buy the Flowbee Hair Cutting Machine.  Seriously, don't laugh, it works great and is really easy to use!!!!!  Do not use the machine on the actual hair system though.  Have HD cut your sytem in with the style you choose and then use the Flowbee to cut your real hair.  You should of course cut your real hair before you attach your system.  The Flowbee comes with a tapering guard so you can taper your style from short at the bottom to longer at the point where it blends with your system.  I've been using this machine and method for 4 years now and its awesome.  You can buy the Flowbee online for $59.95 at www.flowbee.com.  So please take my advice and save yourself from the embarrassing trips to the salons.  You'll also be saving a lot of money not to mention you can cut the rest of your family's hair too.  If you any questions whatsoever you can email me at THOMISKY11@HOTMAIL.COM.  EXTRA TIPS FOR THE FLOWBEE: 1.  Have a vacuum with 12amps or greater.  If you don't have one you can buy the small vacuum along with the machine directly from Flowbee.  I believe its an additional $30 or so. 2.  Don't cut your hair too short.  Save a little length in the tapering process so the hair blends better.
