Back from Ireland

I don’t know what I expected to learn but I was surprised to find that the population of Ireland is only about three and a half million and has only about a half dozen hair replacement retail centers. Most of the hair retailers are located in the major city of Dublin

What I did find interesting is it looks a lot like Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but with a lot of free laid stone walls dividing the fields. The secondary roads were very narrow and occasionally you would pass an ancient ruin. Everything seemed to be a bit greener than here in Lancaster County, but I think that's due to the increased rain fall. I guess the similarities between Lancaster and Ireland is why the Scotch-Irish immigrants decided to settle here 200 plus years ago. It must have reminded them of home.

The people in Ireland are wonderful. They are very friendly and they love to relax and enjoy life in spite of all the rain. We found the pubs in Ireland to be a popular place for meeting friends (and we found them to be pretty fun, too!)

I can't say that I learned too much about the hair business from our trip, but I did manage to meet 2 new lifelong friends... Murphy’s and Guinness.

Have a great hair day,

Bill
