My Wedding Day

Thursday, May 11, 2006 8:59 PM

In this Blog, I was going to talk about the "magic hair growers, hope in a bottle" but I decided to write about my wedding day.  Eileen and I have been so busy planning our big day.  May 27th, our wedding day, is only two weeks away. I am marrying my best friend.

Some of my friends are jokingly saying, at 63 years old, I should be old enough to know better.  I am convinced that marrying Eileen is by far the smartest thing I've ever done, because we are sole mates.  She's a loving, kind and warm person.  I have never met anybody more honest and opened. Her transparency never allows for any hidden agendas.

She has dozens of life long friends who love her dearly and have nothing but good things to say about her, and she has nothing but good things to say about them.  She's nuts about me and I'm crazy in love with her.  As for fun, we have more fun then two human beings should be allowed to have.  Many times we get crazy and whimsical and laugh until our stomachs hurt.

Eileen has three grown daughters, who she is extremely close to.  She let me know on our very first day that her kids come first.  I thought that her telling me that was a very healthy attribute.  Between her three kids, my three kids, their six spouses, her three grandkids and my ten grandkids, will make for one big happy family of 27 people.

Eileen's Mom and my Mom are both 86 years young and going strong.  Eileen doesn't believe in nursing homes, another thing we have in common.  She has five siblings who are all extremely close.  Family is so very important.

With all of Eileen's attributes, the thing that makes me love her most  is that she is without a doubt the most intelligent woman I have ever met.  Eileen knows how to take a good idea of mine and make it shine.  She's not only been wonderful for me personally but also professionally.  I've learned not to implement a thing without first getting her wise council.

This is one time I'm not going to listen to her council.  I forgot to mention, she's humble and she said not to write this because it's embarrassing.

I love her dearly and after more then a two and a half year courtship,  I'm excited and really lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with her.  Thanks for listening to my thoughts.  I just wanted to share my excitement and my joy.

Have a great hair day,

Bill
