Wow…
Yep, that pretty much sums it up! 12 days of experiencing several new cultures was amazing!!! We visited London, Paris and Italy! Hair Direct was trying to team up with me to do a live internet webcast so that I could share my experiences with you live as they happened…unfortunately, the availability of internet access was never reliable enough for us to execute the plan. Now I’m on home turf and we are planning a live event real soon! I’m going to share pictures and video while I talk to you live from a webcam on the site. Isn’t technology incredible? We can talk about anything you want – hair, Paris, tape, London, bases, Italy, hair, castles, hair, food, hair…you get the idea…tee hee!
I will just tell you that my first trip to Europe was filled with experiences and sights I could never have imagined. We had dinner with a true Parisian who told me that even though she had lived there her entire life, she hadn’t experienced half of what we did in 12 days… At first I didn’t believe her and then I reversed my thoughts to what would happen if she had visited Philadelphia or New York and told me all that she had seen…
“You went to the Bronx? I’ve never been there!”
“You went to the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia? I’ve never been there!”
“You have a cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz® on it??? Ewwwww!!!”
I’m ashamed to admit that I treat my own country much the same as she treats Paris. I wonder if most people are the same with the areas they live in? We always try to make the time to visit landmarks and talk about driving to NYC for the weekend, but somehow, we just never get around to it. I’m going to make much more of an effort to discover the treasures we have right here in the USA…ummm…as soon as the price of gas goes down. Just don’t think poorly of me when I tell you how much I’m craving that Bahamas Beach again…
I’ll keep you posted about the webcast, I’d love it if lots of you could sign in and chat, ask questions and laugh with me for a bit!
Welcome back! I can't wait to hear all about it. Hope to see you soon.
Not born with hair, but I've got the intelligence to find it, the job to pay for it, the patience to "stick" it on just right, the will to make it work, the confidence to wear it boldly and the smile to wear under it!
